PALACE boss Patrick Vieira named a strong team for the visit of Hartlepool but did give Martin Kelly a first appearance of the season.
Jack Butland, captain Luka Milivojevic and Ebere Eze also came into the starting XI from the defeat to Liverpool on January 23.
Goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, Joachim Andersen, Will Hughes and Odsonne Edouard were on the bench alongside with teenagers Tayo Adaramola and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

Hartlepool were without captain Nicky Featherstone, who was sent off against Exeter last weekend.
Gary Liddle took the armband instead while manager Graeme Lee gave a start to new signing Bryn Morris at Selhurst Park.
