PALACE boss Patrick Vieira has raged after the officials gave Liverpool a late penalty in the match at Selhurst Park.
A goal from Odsonne Edouard saw the Eagles halve the deficit Liverpool had built in the first half with goals from Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
However, a late penalty scored by Fabinho put all hopes of a comeback out of the question.
Kevin Friend had originally waved play on by was referred to the monitor by VAR's Craig Pawson.
Upon reviewing the contact between Diogo Jota and Vicente Guaita, Friend gave a penalty.
After the match, Vieira fumed to the media about the decision.
“The wrong decision by the referee had a massive impact on the game,” he said. “You should ask the referee to talk to you and explain the decision himself.
"It is a huge mistake by the referee, a poor decision - the referees today didn't have a really good game at all.
"I think Jota was really smart. We have meetings with the referees and they tell us contact is part of the game.
“And now they've got it wrong. I'm really frustrated by the decision. I have seen it many times, it is never a penalty.
“When we scored, the game was there for us to go and try and get that draw. But the referee killed our legs today.”
