THE ADDICKS returned to winning ways in League One as Mason Burstow and Albie Morgan's second-half goals against Fleetwood Town gave them the win.
Charlton got off to a slow start as Fleetwood had some early attempts at goal.
However, Danny Andrews’ first-minute free-kick and Tom Clarke’s 10th-minute header both went over the Charlton bar.
Johnnie Jackson’s side did look dangerous at times as wingers Dialling Jaiyesimi and Corey Blacket-Taylor put in some dangerous crosses but could not find someone to tap home.
Fleetwood went close to taking the lead in the 15th minute as Andrew’s second free-kick of the game went just over the bar, Craig MacGillivray was not 100 per cent sure it was on target or not at the time.
In the 36th minute, Elliot Lee must have thought he had given the home side the lead as his half-volley was headed into the goal.
However, Alex Cairns made an incredible reaction save to keep the scores level at the break.
Charlton started the second half the better and got themselves in the lead.
Albie Morgan whipped in a brilliant freekick from the left-wing. Ryan Innis got his head to the ball and knocked it back across the goal for Burstow to tap home.
Fleetwood did try to find an equaliser as they pushed up the field but Charlton's defence was able to stand firm and clear the ball from danger.
Jackson then made some changes to his team and Conor Washington, Ben Purrington and Alex Gibley were sent on in place of Elliot Lee, Blackett-Taylor and goalscorer Burstow.
In added time Morgan did well to get one-on-one with the goalkeeper but dragged his shot wide. But not to worry as 30 seconds late he made amends for his error.
The number 10 volleyed a low powerful effort through the legs of Cairns to put the result to bed.
