Here is how Millwall players rated in their defeat to Barnsley:
Bartosz Bialkowski – 8
Got his side out of jail with a round of superb saves.
Shane Ferguson – 6
A seamless swap for Murray Wallace, the Northern Irish international assisted Skalak at every given opportunity and defended well.
Jake Cooper – 6
Defensively sound but he knows he should have more goals to his name this season. Missed three really good opportunities.
Shaun Hutchinson – 7
Solid overall performance from the skipper.
Mahlon Romeo – 5
His poor defending led to Chaplin’s opener and he did not provide much going forward either.
Shaun Williams – 6
He started the game really well but as the game went on his legs tired and he was nowhere to be seen.
Jayson Molumby – 7
Made up for Williams’ lack of energy in the later stages and his long passes were a key instigator in allowing Millwall to travel up the pitch.
Jed Wallace – 5
Conjured a few key passes but was not his usual self on the ball. Will be kicking himself for giving the ball away so cheaply in the build-up to Barnsley’s winner.
Is the purple patch beginning to fade?
Jiri Skalak – 7
A rejuvenated figure. Run himself into the ground and produced a few moments of quality which got the crowd on their feet.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson – 6
His shorts were covered in mud by the time he was substituted off. Put in a good shift and his partnership with Bradshaw up front looks promising.
Tom Bradshaw – 5
He usually only needs one chance to score, but he had five today and missed them all. Not good enough.
Subs:
Matt Smith – 7
Aiden O’Brien – 7
