Lee Bowyer believes Charlton’s performance in their defeat to Wigan Athletic was their worst since he took charge.
The Addicks struggled to get going as Cheyenne Dunkley’s brace condemned them to their second defeat in as many games after losing to Birmingham City.
Bowyer was unequivocal about how his team played, who are currently without star striker Lyle Taylor, and expressed disappointment with the two goals Charlton conceded.

He said: “Disappointing is an understatement.
“That is the worst we have played since I have been in charge. The first 45 minutes were so bad, we could not put three passes together. That ain't us.
“To lose the game on two set-pieces, which is also not us, [was disappointing]. We normally defend so well on set-pieces but their centre half scored two goals. A volley from inside the six-yard box should not be possible, a free header from inside the six-yard box should not be possible.
“[I am] really disappointed but we created chances enough chances to get something from the game for sure, but we were just not ruthless enough in front of goal today.
“Last week was the same.
“Their 'keeper [David Marshall] made some great saves, we should have had a penalty for Naby in the second half, but for me it was just not good enough from start to finish.
“There are no positives really, that is the worst we have played since I have been in charge and it is not good enough.”
Sarr was pulled back by goalscorer Dunkley inside the box but appeals for a penalty were dismissed by the referee.
Charlton struggled to get any rhythm going but did have some chances late, with Conor Gallagher going close towards the end.
While the Addicks will miss Taylor, who is out with a knee injury, Bowyer insists they must be more ruthless without last season’s top scorer.
He added: “Nothing has really changed. We are still creating chances but just not taking them. We had enough chances to win the game [against Birmingham] last week and I think, today, Tom Lockyer could have had a hat-trick.
“We have to be more ruthless, it's as simple as that. For as bad as what we played, we still should have got something out of the game.”
