Charlton academy graduate Alfie Doughty has joined Bromley on a short-term loan until early October.
The midfielder, who embarked on a month-long loan at Kingstonian last season, will hope to gain first-team experience at Hayes Lane during the spell.
Despite being heavily involved in the Addicks’ preseason campaign, a host of new signings have limited his chances of first-team football at The Valley.
The arrivals of Conor Gallagher and Sam Field, alongside the returning Josh Cullen, Jonny Williams and Erhun Oztumer, meant competition for places was high.
But the 19-year-old will look to take advantage of the new opportunity as he was named on Bromley’s bench for the visit of Chesterfield on September 7.
He joins a list of Addicks, past and present, who have turned out for Bromley, including team-mate Brendan Wiredu who did just that last season.
Reeco Hackett-Fairchild, who was also on loan at Hayes Lane last term, penned a permanent deal this summer after leaving Charlton.
Doughty’s loan deal expires on October 5.
