Jamal Lowe's request to leave Portsmouth has alerted a host of Championship clubs to the Millwall target.
Lions boss Neil Harris is a known admirer of the attacker and it was believed he made a bid for the 24-year-old earlier this month.
Scoring 17-goals in Pompey’s road to the play-offs, Harris believes the former Hampton and Richmond forward would solve his attacking issues with last season's top scorer Lee Gregory expected to join Stoke City next week.
Lowe’s request to leave has seemingly made Burnley, Cardiff, Leeds and Wigan take notice and with their financial clout they could scupper any move to The Den.
Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett was keen to keep Lowe on the south coast but may he now looks set to lose an attacker that boasted 29 goals and 18 assists in 119 appearances since joining two years ago.
Harris however would take confidence from the relationship he’s built with Portsmouth and Jackett.
Having played under Jackett for four years while at Millwall, Harris then went on to loan midfielder Ben Thompson to the Fratton Park outfit for the first half of last season with great success.
