Huski Chocolate will become Millwall’s principal partner next season in what will be the club’s biggest sponsorship agreement.
The five-year deal will see the Swedish chocolate company’s logo feature on all Millwall shirts.
Huski, who also sponsor F1’s McLaren, had a presence at The Den last season but this season sees them become the principal partner.
“We have enjoyed getting to know the supporters and staff at Millwall and we have loved attending matches at The Den with its famous atmosphere,” Huski Chocolate’s CEO, Linus Wessman said.
“This year we are looking to take a huge leap into the UK market with our brand, the hot and cold chocolate drinks, and having Millwall by our side will definitely help us to achieve that goal.”
“It has been marvellous to work with Millwall Football Club and we’re excited to take our relationship to the next level with this principal partnership, which is a natural progression.”
Stuart Lock, Millwall’s head of commercial and retail, said the agreement would be ‘mutually beneficial’, ‘on and off the pitch.’
It’s thought that Huski Chocolate, owned by a consortium of Nordic investors who are passionate about sport, will free up funds for the usually thrifty South Bermondsey outfit.
Lions fans, unsurprisingly were all asking for the same thing when news of the agreement was revealed.
