West Ham United have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper David Martin from Millwall.
Martin, 33, will join the Lions’ city rivals on a two-year contract with an option of a further 12-months on July 1st.
The son of Irons legend and FA Cup winner Alvin Martin, the former MK Dons shot stopper established himself as Neil Harris’s number one in the second half of last season as they narrowly avoided relegation.
“Signing for West Ham United is a dream, both for me and my family,” Martin told the club's official website.
“I’ve grown up around West Ham and to come to my boyhood club is a dream.
“I came to games as a kid as one of the supporters in the stands at the Boleyn Ground.
“I loved watching my dad play, and I’ve continued coming to games throughout my career."
Martin made 15 appearances for Millwall during his two-year stay at The Den, 11 of which came this year.

West Ham announced the signing just days after the arrival of Spaniard Roberto, a goalkeeper from Espanyol, and both are expected to provide competition to Lukasz Fabianski for the number one jersey.
