Neil Harris has confirmed he’s expecting a busy summer in regard to transfers as he looks to overhaul his squad.
With top scorer Lee Gregory’s departure nailed on according to Harris, a striker will be a top priority as they look to avoid another gruelling season at the bottom of The Championship.
Tom Bradshaw will return for pre-season, but having missed the best part of six months through injury the Lions will need someone to hit the ground running.
One man that has been touted as a potential signing is League One Gillingham’s Tom Eaves.
He finished the season joint second-top scorer with 21 League goals, and impressive return for a forward in a side that finished mid-table.
Out of contract in the summer he wouldn’t cost a penny, and at 27 he has time on his side, but that for many isn’t enough to cut it at The Den.
If you're not aware of what he's capable of, then this may give you some insight:
💥 Pop, pop, THWACK.

We signed Elliot from Wimbledon and look out he turned out to be total shit that’s what .

Also if you like long ball football then eaves will be your man.
But millwall need to pass the ball around and that’s where eaves won’t fit in
Im hoping we continue with 433/451 so need to play with 3 pacy forwards so a target man wouldn’t work. Worth having on the bench to try and change the game or play with a front two though. I’m hoping the days of 442 & launching it are gone though.

Worth a try on a free

I’d have him but Marquis is a better player than him.... at least Marquis is a Millwall boy

Honestly don’t understand why our fans are against signing him. He’s scored goals, he’s physical, he can score with his head and feet and he’s out-of-contract. Absolute no brainer that we should sign him. Ideally I would like him, Brandshaw and Hooper as our strikers next season.
Eaves and Bradshaw combo 🤔

Just another untested Elliot just what we don’t need personally I think he’s a donkey that will result in hoofball again
