Jonny Williams was a relieved man when told his latest injury was not as bad as first thought.
The midfielder has had a torrid time with injuries throughout his career so he’d be forgiven to think the hamstring injury picked up in the Portsmouth win three weeks ago was more serious than initially expected.
Williams played an hour in the 1-0 win over Bradford on Saturday where Lyle Taylor’s strike was enough for the three points.
“I thought the worst,” he said.
“I felt my hamstring against Portsmouth, so it was a blessing when I saw the scan and for once luck was on my side and it wasn’t too bad and I only missed two games.
“I’m delighted to be back, get the win and move on.
“I’m looking forward to the play-offs.”

Charlton sit fifth in League One and although Williams says they will continue to chase the top two, he indicated that they are preparing for a play-off place.
“At one point seventh was close, but we’ve had a few good results and we can look up the table again and go into the play offs with a positive feel.
“The aim is to get Charlton promoted, we’re still on course for that.”
The 25-year-old celebrated promotion to the Premiership via the play-offs with Crystal Palace in 2013 and hopes his experience can prove vital.
“It’s a bit of a lottery," said Williams.
“I’ve got a good record in the play-offs so hopefully I can keep that going.”
Charlton travel to Plymouth on Saturday.
