Lee Bowyer says his side need to be more ruthless after their stuttering 1-0 win over Bradford City.
Lyle Taylor’s first half strike gave The Addicks the three points but they were nearly made to pay for missing a host of chances as the visitors hit the woodwork late on.
Despite sitting comfortably in the play-off places Bowyer demanded a more clinical performance.
“We can’t keep doing that,” he said.
“Dominating games and not taking chances, we should’ve been out of sight by half time.
“Lyle (Taylor) could’ve had four today, it’s not like him.
“I always felt like we were cruising, we had so much of the ball and I think we got sloppy at times and invited pressure on ourselves.
“The only criticism is they took their foot of the pedal at times and that’s not us, that’s not good.”

Looking at the table there should’ve been only one winner with Gary Bowyer’s men sitting bottom of League One and staring relegation in the eyes, but The Addicks boss knows that’s never the case and insisting winning 1-0 is to be savoured.
“It’s the best result in football, you scored, kept a clean sheet and you got three points.
“Doesn’t matter how you get them, three points is three points.
“There’s no easy games especially now, every team is fighting for something.
“Every game could be a banana skin, but I believe in our ability, togetherness, and that we can win all seven remaining fixtures with our support home and away.
“Difficult yes, but I believe we can.”
