Lee Bowyer has admitted the international break has come at a good time for his squad but expects another gritty performance at Bristol Rovers before his men can rest.
With four first team players called up for international duty, it means Charlton’s visit a week Saturday to Wycombe Wanderers has been rescheduled but gives those not involved with their national sides a break.
“They’ll have 4 days off, win, lose or draw at Bristol,” said Bowyer.
“We did it in the last window and when they came back we were flying.”

Chris Maxwell (Wales), Krystien Bielik (Poland U21), Lyle Taylor (Montserrat) and Igor Vetokele (Angola) have all been called up and Bowyer admits he’s grateful for the fallow weekend.
“We can give them a rest, recharge their batteries, and then have a real push until the end of the season.
“It will be good for us, as you saw Tuesday (against Burton) we were tiring, but we grinded it out.
“If we can do that Saturday that will be a perfect week for us and then enjoy our break.
“At the end of the day they are human beings, and they’re putting everything in, and they need to recharge.
“They deserve it.”
