Roy Hodgson’s men will travel to Southampton full of confidence and buoyed by the fitness of four key players.
Following their 2-0 FA Cup fourth round win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Hodgson confirmed that Connor Wickham and Christian Benteke are both fit and available for selection for the tie at St Mary's on Wednesday.
Hodgson, however, kept his cards close to his chest regarding his starting frontmen.
"I was prepared to play (Connor) in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup against Tottenham Hotspur, so if I'm prepared to do that there'd be no reason why I couldn't use him also in Premier League games," said the Palace boss.
"The same goes for Christian Benteke. He played for the last 20-odd minutes of the game (against Spurs) and came through that very well."
A further boost for Hodgson is the return to fitness of Wayne Hennessey and Vicente Guaita who will battle it with Sunday’s man of the match Julian Speroni for the number one jersey.
"All the goalkeepers are fit now, so that's good. I now have a selection to make," conceded the manager.

With the club languishing in 14th place, the club chairman Steve Parish remained diplomatic when asked his opinion on the Eagles' season.
Knowing a defeat could leave his side above the relegation zone on goal difference, Parish emphasised the importance of the upcoming fixtures.
Speaking of the tie's against Ralph Hasenhüttl’s resurgent Saints side and strugglers Fulham, Parish said:
"They will be massive games and we need to be on our mettle, because we need to get points from them.
"We all want to pull away from looking down and start trying to look up, because I think we are a good enough team to do that.
"What we need to do is to understand that we could win or lose every Premier League game, every single one
"Nobody has got a right to be in the Premier League, and you have to get to that magic 38 or 40 point mark.
"We need to focus on those two games because they are very important for us, as is the rest of the season to make sure we retain our status and hopefully do even better than that and look up the league a bit.”
