Charlton will have to be weary of one man this weekend as they welcome Gillingham to The Valley according to manager Lee Bowyer.
Tom Eaves is top of the League One scoring charts with 14 goals which is surprising considering the Gills are sitting 16th in the division.
Despite being heavy favourites Bowyer conceded his side will need to be at their best to nullify the the 26-year-old who's recently been linked with Rangers.
“They rely on him a lot and I remember last season he caused a lot of problems. Hopefully now we will be ready for him,” said Bowyer.
“For me, he’s their best player.
“For someone playing in a side around midtable, that is some going. I have watched his goals and he scores all different types.”

Charlton are looking to maintain their pursuit of promotion as they aim for their seventh win in eight league games. For that reason Bowyer is taking nothing for granted as he signalled the Gills strength.
“They give everything and they work hard. We can’t just come into Saturday assuming we are going to get the three points because things have been going well.
“That doesn’t just happen and we have slipped up on that already this season. I will make sure there won’t be a lack of effort put in by my lads.
“We know what we are good at and we have to remember that”
