Here's how the players rated in their 2-0 win over Burnley.

Wayne Hennessey –looked as little shaky under the suspected high balls that Burnley would throw in at every opportunity. Made a good save at the feet of Aaron Lennon in the first half but other than that had little to do. 7

Patrick van Aanholt – always reliable and always looks to get on the attack. Solid in both. Once Lennon realised PvA could match him for pace, not much was heard from the Englishman. 7

Mamadou Sakho – colossal. Much has been mentioned about his ‘move’ to a Champions League club, but if he continues to put in performances like today then he surely has the right to want to play in the biggest competition in club football. 8

James Tomkins – like his centre-back pairing he was immense. Has such good feet which aren’t talked about, composed on the ball and always looks for the pass. 8

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – very confident on the ball, sometimes too confident. Guilty of losing possession once or twice deep in his own half. Those errors could be costly against a more ruthless attack, Mr Hodgson will surely iron out those flaws. 6

Luka Milivojevic – should’ve scored a one-on-one but dragged horribly wide. It’s no secret he’s having a dip in form and confidence it seems. 6

James McArthur – the quiet midfielder always goes about his business in a workman-like manner. People associate him with a touch tackling, abrasive style, but they don’t see the quality he has on the ball. A very good passer and an eye for a gap…..oh yes, and a sublime bit of skill which Zidane would’ve been fond of. 7

Cheikhou Kouyate -starting to become a real force in the midfield for Palace. As Milivojevic form seems to dip, Kouyate seems to peak. All action. We’ll let him off a few wayward passes. 8

Max Meyer – the German’s best performance to date. He may not have scored the opening goal but his movement no doubt contributed. He started wide left but popped up everywhere and is finally showing the Palace faithful what he has to offer. A great display, star man. 9

Wilfried Zaha – always a threat but didn’t have his best game in a Palace shirt. Squandered a great opportunity to kill the game in the second half. 7

Andros Townsend – probed, teased, out-sprinted, and then unleashed goal of the month on Selhurst Park. Often guilty of frustrating manager and fans alike, his goal seems to have changed the course of Palace’s season. 9
