Speroni may wear number one, but the veteran keeper has yet to appear for the Palace this season in either league or cup mainly due to the fine form of Wayne Hennessey and the arrival of Vincente Guaita.

The cult-hero at Selhurst will find any game time tough this season but he’s always reliable when called upon.

Vincente Guaita

Guaita arrived in the summer and initially it was thought he would provide real competition to Hennessey as first choice between he sticks.

With only three cup appearances to his name, keeping two clean sheets, the jury is still out on the former Valencia, Recreativo and Getafe man.
