Two late goals from Amadou Bakayoko denied a dominant Charlton side a first win in three games.
The goals, the second in injury-time, cancelled out Lyle Taylor’s first-half penalty.
The Addicks spurned chances to double their lead and the defeat sees them drop to ninth place.
Here is how News Shopper rated Charlton’s players…
Jed Steer - 5 - Had just one save to make as Coventry rarely threatened. Does not look convincing coming for crosses and corners.
Anfernee Dijksteel - 6 - A first league start for the 21-year-old since May. Got a vital touch on a cross to stop Coventry snatching a late winner, but it proved to be in vain.
Naby Sarr - 6 - Brought the ball out of defence superbly but lost his man for Coventry's second goal.
Jason Pearce - 6 - A more solid display than in his previous two games from Charlton’s captain.
Chris Solly - 8 - He continues to prove why he’s irreplaceable. Covering for the injured Lewis Page at left-back, the defender’s winger failed to beat him.
Ben Reeves - 8 - His crossfield passes to Chris Solly were excellent. Looked to create whenever he had possession. Deservedly got a standing ovation when George Lapslie replaced him. Charlton's man of the match.
Josh Cullen - 7 - Kept the midfield ticking and used the ball smartly. Impressively filling the void left by Ahmed Kashi in midfield.
Joe Aribo - 5 - His first touch wasn't up to his usual high standards. Lost the ball too many times.
Tariqe Fosu - 7 - Looked dangerous whenever he had the ball and nearly scored a sublime goal in the first-half.
Lyle Taylor - 8 - Converted a penalty which he won due to his brilliant hold-up play. His fine start to the season shows no sign of stopping.
Karlan Grant - 4 - His decision-making was poor today. Needs to know when to pass in the final third.
Subs:
George Lapslie - 5
Jamie Ward - N/A
