Nicky Ajose is likely to go out on loan before the transfer window shuts on Wednesday.
Bury, who signed Ajose on a season-long loan last summer, are still paying his wages despite the striker returning to the Valley earlier this month.
And Charlton’s capture of Wolves forward Michal Zyro has pushed the former Manchester United trainee even further down the pecking order.

Speaking after Charlton’s game at Blackpool was postponed, Addicks boss Karl Robinson said: “He [Ajose] was here today to watch the team play.
“We’re looking at it and he’ll probably go back out on loan. But we’ll have to see what materialises over the forthcoming days.”
