Bury manager Lee Clark has explained why Charlton loanee Nicky Ajose is not being included in matchday squads.
Ajose, who joined the Shakers on a season-long loan in the summer, was ineligible to play against his parent club in the 1-1 draw on Saturday.
But the 25-year-old striker has been left out of Clark’s 18-man squads for the last five games and has not played for the League One strugglers in nearly a month.

When asked about Ajose’s absence, Clark said: “We have six loan [players] in the squad at the moment, and you’re only allowed to play five in the 18.”
Charlton signed Ajose from Swindon for an undisclosed fee last summer, but the former Manchester United trainee failed to live up to expectations.
He has scored once in five games for Bury, who are in the relegation zone.
