Conor McLaughlin believes Millwall’s home form will be key to Championship survival.
The Lions are still searching for their first league win of the season after drawing 1-1 with Bolton on Saturday.
Filipe Morais’ stunning free-kick cancelled out George Saville’s opener at the Den.
Millwall’s home form was key to the club staying in the Championship in previous years, and McLaughlin thinks it will be no different this season.
The Lions defender said: “Our home form will be massive. I am sure if you ask any player coming away here they will not like it. That is where we must make the most of that and play the way they expect us to.
“Today [Saturday], Bolton being a big physical team, we had to play a bit more football and mixed it up at times to cause them problems.”
The Lions earned their first point of the season against Bolton and the 26-year-old is confident Millwall can go one better and beat Ipswich Town on Tuesday.

When asked if it was two points dropped against Bolton, McLaughlin said: “We all thought so.
“We had more chances in the game. It was the same sort of feeling after the game on Friday night, disappointed, but I think we must take encouragement from the performances and the results will come. It could end up being a big point, you never know.
“We know we have played well the last two games, we’re obviously disappointed not to have the points to reflect that, but we must take confidence from it.
“You cannot get too down. We have our next game on Tuesday, we will learn our lessons from Bolton and take that into it.”
