Peterborough have slapped a £1.5m price tag on Peterborough star Marcus Maddison, News Shopper understands.
Maddison, 23, has one year left on his contract and has been transfer listed by the Posh.
And Charlton might be able to get him for as low as £1m with Peterborough keen to offload their star man.
Maddison, who is one of Peterborough’s highest earners, has rejected new and improved deals to stay at the ABAX Stadium.

He is currently on holiday but informal talks about a move to the Valley are expected to begin soon.
News Shopper has been told that this deal could rumble on throughout the summer as Maddison considers his options.
Bolton and Sheffield United are competing with Charlton for his signature.
Bradford forward Billy Clarke is the Addicks’ only summer signing - and boss Karl Robinson previously said he wanted bodies in before the start of pre-season.

Robinson tried to sign Maddison in January, but Valley chiefs were put off by Peterborough’s £2m asking price.
The midfielder, who can play out wide or centrally, has scored 22 goals in the past two seasons.
