Charlton are set to sign Leeds United winger Jordan Botaka on a season-long loan deal.
Russell Slade today revealed that two players were undergoing medicals at the club – a striker and a midfielder.
News Shopper understands DR Congo international Botaka, who joined Leeds last summer, is the midfielder.
The 23-year-old made 13 Championship appearances for Leeds during the 2015/16 campaign and will hope to find regular football in SE7.
Botaka started his professional career at Club Brugge and played 73 league games for Dutch side Excelsior before signing for Leeds.
Slade, 55, identified Botaka as a prime target and is close to landing his man.
