Charlton chief executive Katrien Meire has been appointed to the FA Council as a representative of the English Football League.
Meire, who joined Charlton in January 2014 when Roland Duchatelet purchased the club, is one of four EFL representatives.
The Football Association revealed its new council on Sunday evening and Barry Bright has been named leader.
A statement said: “The FA's Management Team, working together with The FA Board, Council and staff, aims to deliver an effective and professional organisation for the greater good of English football.
“The FA consists of a permanent staff, predominantly based at its headquarters at Wembley Stadium.”
Meire was the subject of anger from protesting Charlton fans over the course of last season.
