Millwall recorded a comfortable 2-0 victory against Northampton Town last night to progress to the third round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
After a subdued opening 45 minutes, in which the League Two outfit enjoyed productive periods without creating any clear cut chances, Millwall stormed ahead in the second half.
Aiden O'Brien gave the hosts the lead after cutting it from the right and firing a powerful shot past Town's goalkeeper.
Striker Lee Gregory then assured the victory with a tap-in from Steve Morison's whipping cross.
