Wilfried Zaha wants to show Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew he is good enough to start every game.
The Palace star was substituted at half-time against Tottenham Hotspur two weeks ago after a poor display and faced criticism from the Eagles boss.
Zaha bounced back by making an impact from the bench against Watford before putting in a man of the match performance against West Brom on Saturday.
And Zaha admits Pardew’s comments gave him an added incentive.
“There’s no point sulking about it,” the 22-year-old said.
“What he [Pardew] says is to make you better so I’ve taken that on the chin and just proved to him that I can play well.

“I just need to carry on playing well, its consistency for me really.”
The former Manchester United player says the best way to respond to critics is to perform on the pitch.
“I get criticism all the time, you’ve just got to take it on the chin and carry on really,” he said.
“I’ve just got to prove to the gaffer that I’m good enough to start every game.”
“I think that’s definitely the best game I’ve had so far.”

And Zaha, a Palace academy product, believes there is nothing stopping him from having a big season at Selhurst Park.
“I feel confident, I’m at home with great support from the fans, I’m playing for a great team, so it should be definitely.
“[There’s] nothing stopping me.”
