PETER Taylor wants the pass the 50-point mark this weekend and in his way stands a former employer in the shape of Leicester City.
Recent Championship results have brought the Eagles within striking distance of Colchester City in 10th but a win tomorrow is a must if they are to flex their talons and claw their way up the table.
Taylor said: "Leicester City are looking good but I am pleased with our run as well, two defeats in 13 matches.
"I want to keep it going and I want to get over the 50-point mark tomorrow and keep creeping up the table if we can.
"All of a sudden there is someone above us Colchester who we can catch so that is the next target."
Leicester City were bought by Milan Mandaric last month and have since gone unbeaten in the Championship winning three and drawing three of their last six games.
And the Palace boss will have to do without Stuart Green, Jobi McAnuff, Paul Ifill and Mark Kennedy.
Doubt hovers over Shekfi Kuqi, Gary Borrowdale and recent goal-hero Clinton Morrison.
Taylor said: "Clinton has not trained since the weekend because of a back injury so he a bit of a doubt for tomorrow.
"So that is where I could do with Shefki coming through to make sure we have another striker."
Morrison and Borrowdale trained today and Taylor will make a decision on the pair tomorrow morning.
He said: "Morrison has done well, he has taken his three goals he has taken exceptionally well.
"They were very difficult chances but he took them very well with very different finishes.
"I must admit that he gives me the impression when he does score, he fancies he will score again and again and so we need him fit if possible."
