PETER Taylor has revealed how Clinton Morrison predicted he would score against the Hatters.
The Palace striker banged in his seventh and eighth goals of the season to give his boss a 2-1 win.
More importantly it meant back-to-back wins for a team needing an 'amazing run' to break into the play-offs.
Taylor said: "They were two really well-taken goals.
The first one was very important to us because it was not a particularly good half and all of a sudden James Scowcroft does well with a flick, and Clinton took it superbly, took it really early.
"That is his game and he looks very dangerous in those areas.
"It was two excellent headers from James and Leon Cort and Clinton read them, I though his second goal was first class."
Morrison did not train yesterday due a rib niggle but he was hard at work today.
Taylor said: "He kept saying before the game he was going to score on Saturday and, ok other people say that and it does not come off, but in his mind he believed he was going to score and that is a great feeling if you're a striker.
"You have got to be determined to go out there and get a goal."
After the Luton game, Kit Symons said they had worked oon keeping Morrison and his striking partners inside the penalty area.
However, Taylor said: "Kit has taken some stick for the comment about Clinton working more in the box than around it.
"We have spoken to the strikers and told them to stay more in the 18-yard area not actually in the box.
"It is because we don't want them going out wide or things like that because it prevents maybe a wide player going there because there is someone already there.
"There is no doub about it, the more bodies in the box you have, the more chance you have of scoring and Clinton was in the right place at the right time."
Taylor re-issued his call for all his strikers to make a place in the starting line-up their own and he still believes no one has done that yet.
He said: "Over the year no one has played consistently great to say they are a guaranteed starter, so I am looking for Clinton to move on from here.
"He got two goals on Saturday but I want another two goals against Burnley and that is the area I am looking at."
