Bob Peeters has reiterated his desire to sign a goalscorer.
The manager, whose team travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, last week watched his side impress at home to Ipswich before they conceded a last-minute winner having wasted several chances of their own.
“We already know that we are looking for a striker but we need to see which profile is the best,” Peeters said.
“At this moment if you want to bring a striker they’ll cost you a lot of money and it’s also about budget.
“We don’t have the budget of certain teams in the Championship.
“We did everything on Saturday except score a goal.
"In all aspects we were the better team.”
Charlton and Forest both have 28 points from 19 Championship fixtures so far this season.
