Crystal Palace striker Marouane Chamakh is unfazed by his lack of goals this season - as long as his team keep on winning.
The forward has scored just once in nine Premier League games so far this season, against West Ham at Selhurst Park in August.
But speaking after Sunday's 3-1 victory over Liverpool, Chamakh said he is happy to keep on playing an important role in Palace's link-up play.
The Moroccan explained: "I’m not a proper striker who should score every game, I play different and I’m happy like that.
"I work really hard and if I can score, then great. If not, then hopefully next time. I am focused on scoring if I can, and if I don’t I am focusing on the next game.
"The manager tells me to take my chance in the side and I am happy with how it’s going."
Chamakh has been used in rotation with the likes of Dwight Gayle and Fraizer Campbell at Selhurst Park this season.
The 30-year-old started alongside Gayle against Liverpool on Sunday and he was singing the praises of his strike partner, who brought Palace level after Rickie Lambert's early goal gave the visitors the lead.
"I’m really happy for him because he works really hard in training and the manager gave him a chance," Chamakh said.
"We both rotate with Fraizer and it is good like that when everyone can participate.
"We were losing 1-0 (against Liverpool) but we tried everything right until the end and the end result was three points.
"Liverpool scored a good goal, so we weren't concerned because I knew we were going to have some chances to draw or win the game and it was a very good game for us.
"We worked hard, did very well and got three points which moved us out of the relegation zone."
Palace's victory over the Reds ended a run of two straight defeats and moved them up to 15th place in the Premier League table.
Next up for Neil Warnock's side tomorrow is a visit to Swansea, where Chamakh wants to see a repeat of the Liverpool performance and result.
But the striker knows victory in south Wales will not be easy to come by this weekend.
He said: "This season Swansea look very good, they play very well and it is going to be hard for us.
"But I am confident because we work hard and defend well, and if we have the same mentality we can do something.
"Against West Brom, we drew in the last minute when we could have one. After that we lost two games against Sunderland and Manchester United, and then the international break was very good for us."
