Ian Holloway has praised Bob Peeters for turning Charlton into contenders for promotion.
Charlton host Millwall on Saturday in the first south London derby of the season.
They lie eighth in the Championship, one point off the top six, and given they last season narrowly avoided relegation Holloway believes the former Millwall striker deserves credit for the job he has so far done.
“From my point of view, Bob’s done a great job,” Holloway said.
“I've got to try and stop him on the weekend. Nothing changes. Charlton have had a great season so far.”
Striker Igor Vetokele’s eight goals have been crucial to Charlton’s progress and Holloway also acknowledged his contribution.
“They’ve got goalscorers, they look sharp up front,” he said.
“Without the goals that the one fellow scored where would they be?
“We deserve more points than we actually got but unless you finish off those opportunities you don’t get them. That’s why strikers earn a lot of money.”
