Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is no stranger to finding out which players he is chasing when he opens the pages of the morning newspapers.
The former Sheffield United and Leeds United boss opened his daily rag earlier this week to discover the Eagles were interested in signing AC Milan striker Nnamdi Oduamadi.
Oduamadi has made just one appearance for the San Siro club before spending the past four years on loan at a succession of Italian sides - scoring nine goals in 53 appearances.
The 24-year-old striker has touted his services on Twitter after claiming a Palace scout watched him in action for Varese.
He claimed Palace wanted to sign him, and tweeted: "It would be a dream to play for Crystal Palace."
However, Warnock has news for the wannabe Premier League star.
He said: “I have just read about him in the paper, but I am not aware of him and it’s news to me.
“We have looked at a lot of foreign players so it is possible that one of our scouts watched him – but he is not high on my list.
“I get it a lot. I pick up the paper and read that a player wants to come to us and I wonder if someone somewhere has not told me something.”
