Charlton will be looking to do something they haven’t done in more than 18 years on Saturday – beat neighbours Millwall in a competitive fixture.
It was March 1996 when goals from Lee Bowyer and Carl Leaburn secured a rare 2-0 Valley success for the Addicks, a season is which Charlton completed an even rarer league double over a Lions side which ended up being relegated.
Overall, though, Millwall’s record in these encounters is far superior to that of their south-east London neighbours.
The Lions have won 33 times in this fixture compared to the Addicks’ 11 victories, with the game finishing all square on 24 occasions.
Last season Scott McDonald’s winner secured Millwall a predictable three points in SE7.
But could all that be about to change this weekend when the duo meet again, this time with Charlton under the guidance of one-time Lions forward Bob Peeters?

The poll will close at 3pm Saturday with the result announced shortly afterwards @NewsShopperSprt on Twitter, where you can also follow all the action from the game.
