Magaye Gueye will get another chance to impress Millwall manager Ian Holloway after a decent display in last night’s 1-0 win at Dartford.
The 24-year-old attacker is a free agent after being released by Everton in the summer and has linked up with the Lions on a trial basis.
He caught the eye during a 45 minute cameo at Princes Park where he was unlucky not to score and Gueye looks set to feature again at Stevenage on Saturday as he bids to win himself a full-time deal.
Holloway said: “This other kid (Gueye) I think he has got a lot of ability and maybe we can polish him up if the group is strong enough to get him fitter and tell him the truth – you are going to work as hard as we are son.
“And being French sometimes some of the more talented ones don’t want to do that.
“He has got some talent. I’ve invited him back.
“Whether that means I get him or not I don’t know but I’ve definitely invited him back.
“With his fitness level he has only just come over. I think he has got all sorts of ability.
“He created three chances the other day in the training game and we scored all three of them – Jimmy Abdou scored, Martyn Woolford scored and Lee Martin scored.”
Holloway also used last night’s Dartford game to look at another trialist, former Fulham full-back Matthew Briggs.
When asked if he too will be back for the weekend trip to Stevenage, Ollie replied: “I’m sure he will still be here.”
