CHRIS Powell has ruled out a loan swoop for Sporting Kansas City striker Dom Dwyer.
The English-born MLS player began training with the Addicks before Christmas and had spoken before his arrival in the UK about a possible loan to a Championship club.
However, Valley boss Powell this evening confirmed that wouldn’t be happening in SE7.
“He has gone back to America, he just trained with us,” the Charlton manager said.
“We’ve got a number of American players but they’re just training with us because you can come on loan for a short while, but obviously their season starts at the beginning of March I think it is.
“Dom was training but it has finished now and he will be going back to America.”
