This summer is an exciting time for everyone in England as we prepare to welcome the Olympics to our country.
Billions of people around the world will be tuning in to watch the action unfold so we need to make sure England is a sight for sore eyes – not an eyesore.
That’s why we’ve launched a new initiative called Show the World - part of our national Love Where You live campaign – to encourage the great British public to take pride in their local area and do a tidy up before the Olympic torch passes through their local area.
The torch is making its way around the country so we need you to give it your cleanest, tidiest welcome when it arrives in your town, city or village. It won’t be here for long so we hope everyone will continue to keep their community tidy long after the torch has been and gone.
It doesn’t matter if you tidy up for five minutes or 50, every piece of litter you pick up will help us to Show the World we care about the communities we live in.
Please get involved in our newest anti-littering campaign by ordering a tidy up kit from lovewhereyoulive.org/showtheworld . Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Phil Barton
Chief Executive at Keep Britain Tidy
