I AM astounded at the selfishness of some neighbours around the Crofton Lane, Beaumont Road and Homesdale Road area of Petts Wood/Orpington.
There is a small litter bin in front of our house for the use of passersby and school children but some of the neighbours think that it is acceptable behaviour to fill it with their nasty household and food waste which the foxes find delightful.
Consequently every morning we have to clear up the residue which has included takeaway remains, bottles, oyster shells and even bathroom waste including used tampons.
We are now monitoring this visually by CCTV and all events will be reported to Bromley Council and or the police as fly-tipping.
The typical offenders are middle class educated people who seem to think that they have the right to defecate on everyone else as long as it is not in their back yard.
It must stop now.
You know who you are and we know who you are.
This will not be tolerated any longer.
As all Bromley residents know, food waste is collected weekly with general waste and recycling alternating weekly.
If your recycling bin is full, please take your empty bottles to the many recycling points around the borough.
There is one by Petts Wood station.
The food waste bins should be big enough for most families so keep it in your garden or shed or garage.
