I find the article on the gay surgeries to be held separately very disappointing (News Shopper, September 13).
Gay people can visit councillors at any time they like, the same as the rest of the public. There is no need for a special evening.
I wonder if they will be told they cannot visit on the other days as these are for straight people? I suspect not.
It is about time so-called minority groups were told to stand up and join the rest of us.
Who cares if someone is gay or not?
I do not know anyone who agrees with this negative segregation. I suspect it is just a way to get more votes.
