I HAVE read lots of letters from News Shopper readers, who have all had enough of youth disorder. Haven't we all?
There is nothing being done to control these yobs. Asbos are laughed at and curfews do not mean anything. If you report an assault to the police, they get a telling off.
What made our Government give out anti-smacking laws? If this was never introduced in the first place then I'm sure these so-called "hard gangs" would not exist.
When I was at school 13 years ago if I had done wrong - stealing, bullying etc - I got a good hiding, hard enough to make me realise never to do it again.
If I even thought about carrying a knife then my life would not have been worth living.
It is the Government's fault these children are out of control, not the parents.
Children know their rights and they know how to use them too.
