I LIKE the style and shape of the "fish sculpture" in Erith but the lurid colouring brought to mind a fairground attraction.
I hope it grows on me and the vandals leave it alone.
A less pleasant surprise was the railway bridge re-construction, in Thames Road, has been put on hold because the council and the owners of the bridge cannot agree on a design. How much design do you need?
There must be dozens of such bridges in the country from which to draw inspiration.
Surely some higher authority must be found to bang a few obstinate heads together to knock some sense into the situation?
If this ludicrous state of affairs is allowed to continue we will have traffic on a dual carriageway suddenly having to revert to a single lane which surely defeats the whole object.
