HAVING to send a letter to the council, I was advised not to send it through the post, as this was considered to be too unreliable.

What a state of affairs we find ourselves in at the start of the 21st Century.

Our Royal Mail service used to be the envy of the world, however, it now suffers, like most of our other services, from extensive fraud, corruption and incompetence.

I hope any postal workers found interfering with mail will face stiff penalties.

What really puzzles me is the fact junk mail and bills always seem to arrive without any problems.
