REGARDING the story Concerned About Mini Moto Safety (News Shopper, August 9).
Beckenham Place Park is not the only public open space to have the riders of mini-motos racing around the paths.
St Mary Cray has a smaller recreation ground, on the boundary of Crowhurst Way and part of Ronfearn Avenue. It can also be reached by Park Road.
Riders of these miniature motorbikes frequently race around the paths, to the danger of other park users and the general annoyance of anyone within earshot.
Light motorcycles are also seen. Stolen cars have been driven on to the grass and set on fire but this has not happened recently.
Perhaps it is now more difficult to get a car into the park.
I am glad to read police are cracking down on mini-motos. Then our parks might become more pleasant places.
