WHILE many articles have appeared in various newspapers regarding Biggin Hill Airport and Scrambles Cafe (Scrambling To Save Cafe, News Shopper, July 19), there is never a mention of St George's RAF Chapel of Remembrance which adjoins the airfield.
There is also a thriving Air Cadet Unit.
The chapel is open every day and is well worth a visit.
There are two very knowledgeable caretakers/guides who make visitors most welcome.
Services are held every Sunday at 9.30am and every Saturday there is a Roman Catholic Mass at 6pm.
Attendance at the church services is not restricted to former or serving RAF personnel and becoming a friend of the chapel is optional.
There are a lot of people who do not realise the chapel is still open.
We get visitors from all over the world.
