NO SYMPATHY: While I agree with Miss Filotrani (News Shopper, March 8) Ken Livingstone should only be removed from office by an election committee, I feel no sympathy for him. I remember the image of my aged mother when I visited her one morning in the 1980s when the Greater London Council (GLC) was to be abolished. She was sitting crying with what looked like a court writ in her hand. It was a clever, veiled imitation of one, intimidating her for not having returned her voting form to keep Ken Livingstone and the GLC.
