IN RESPONSE to the Olympic Games levy, to me it is not how much or who pays, a decision which has clearly divided opinion.
My question would be, who gave Ken Livingstone and Lord Coe the right to commit Londoners to help pay without at least asking them for their views?
As we are meant to be a democracy, is this a demonstration of a democracy in action?
Surely a better option would be a nationwide voluntary contribution.
Could this open the door to using council tax to fund commitments to certain projects in any part of the country?
