REGARDING people opposing Olympic levy (Pensioner Refuses To Pay 2012 Tax, News Shopper, February 22), I do not wish to pay.
I can't understand why this should be imposed on the London boroughs when the majority of us will receive no benefits.
We all know the cost will spiral way out of control, costing much more than is quoted.
Council tax is my biggest outlay and biggest worry and there are no exemptions given to having to pay the full rate of £152 per month in my case.
I am not well off and the thought of this going up and up frightens the life out of me.
Let everyone pay, i.e. all taxpayers throughout the country, not just those in the London boroughs, many of whom already struggle.
