With regard to London Mayor Ken Livingstone's suspension, I think he should be suspended until he apologises.
Livingstone complains an unelected body suspended him from his mayoral duties and said as the public voted him in, they should be the only ones to vote him out.
Can I remind Mayor Livingstone about other unelected groups which rule our lives? We have 20 unelected commissioners of the European Union, who are making rules which supersede our own laws passed by the British Government.
We have unelected judges sitting on the European Court of Human Rights whose decisions can override the highest court in England.
We have unelected ministers in New Labour's Government such as Lord Falconer and Lord Salisbury, not forgetting the unelected committee who serve on the Lottery Fund Board and finally, let's not forget the unelected House of Lords.
We do however have an elected body. Twenty-five assembly members who serve on the Greater London Authority, whose sole purpose is to keep Mayor Livingstone in check. They are each paid £49,266 annually why don't they sit in judgement?
