Regarding the Parking Farce letter (News Shopper, January 18), I wrote to Bluewater Management in February last year with precisely the same comment, plus my concerns regarding access should an incident ever occur.
After almost a year of excuses and feeble promises to get the issue dealt with, I finally gave up trying.
However, during the year I contacted Dartford police.
They said it was a very valid point but they were powerless to do anything as Bluewater is a private property.
If such parking had occurred on the public highway, prosecution would certainly have followed.
I also spoke to Dartford Fire Service, who also appeared to be quite concerned, for safety reasons.
However, I heard nothing further in spite of a follow-up phone call.
It would be interesting to know whether anyone else has similar cancerns about Bluewater and whether they also have tried to get something done about it.
