I AM in total agreement with Mary-Anne Brooks (Cashback For Missed Bins, News Shopper, January 18) about the lack of refuse and recycling collections over Christmas and New Year.
I already have in my drive two maroon boxes, two green bins one black box and one brown wheelie bin as well as my own wheelie bin.
There was to be no collection of glass or plastic matter for four weeks over the holiday period.
I sent an email to the council advising them it was bad enough paying more than £1,000 in council tax for the privilage of having these unsightly boxes in my drive without having to add extra rubbish to it and turning the front of my house into a rubbish dump.
I advised them once the boxes were full as they were on the due colletion date I would not be recycling any more rubbish. But they do not seem to care they get their council tax money regardless of how the residents feel.
