I LIVE in West Heath Road, Bostall Heath, I was shocked and appalled to learn an informal proposal had been made by Greenwich Council to straighten and widen Knee Hill and for Harrow Manor Way to be made a four-lane road.
This proposal appeared in a recent document from Bexley Council concerning the Thames Gateway Bridge.
This will cause an increase in traffic, pollution and noise to residents of Lesnes Abbey, in particular those around Knee Hill.
I believe this should have been openly and publicly announced. What grounds has Greenwich Council to make such a proposal?
These plans will devastate the ancient woods.
